I'm not very good at winter dressing. I always go for a piece of knitwear and jeans. Layering isn't my strong game. But I decided to challenge myself into making a summer dress wearable. It was an average to poor effort, just about blog worthy.
(Don't all scramble for that Read More button now.)
The dress itself is a very girly, cute denim number from Jack Wills which isn't my usual style, but I picked it up at a bargain price and I thought it would be lovely in the summer. I layered it with a simple high neck jumper from Primark, which I bought about 4 years ago and is still treating me well.
To wear this for work I would add black tights and Nike's for a quirkier look or some leather booties. For the sake of this blog post I bare-legged it (perhaps not a wise choice considering how pasty pale I am!), and some simple pumps from New Look.
My lipstick is the infamous and ever-drying MAC, Ruby Woo. Except in the first image, where I'm wearing MAC, Whirl. The red gives the outfit and the denim a bit more of an edge and confidence though, which I like.
I don't know if this look is necessarily something I would hero, but that's why I started this blog - to play with my looks and document the journey.
