OOTD: I Am A Hat-Owner

Tuesday, 26 April 2016
I bought a hat! This is a big deal for me, I never put myself in the category of a confident hat-wearer. Hat wearers tend to be one of three things. 1. Painfully edgy and cool. 2. High fashion. 3. Homeless. I mean, I'll admit, I haven't actually worn it out in public yet. But I own one, and it's mine and mine alone. Baby steps.

OOTD: Bohemian Layering

Monday, 18 April 2016
Oh, glorious Britain, how you tease us with your unpredictable weather. (Sense the sarcasm?) I am so bored of dressing for the cold and then sweating profusely like an overweight boar with a gland problem in the office. The only sensible answer is to up the layering game.

Bohemian Chic Interiors with Rockett St George

Sunday, 17 April 2016
I've been having an affair on fashion with interiors lately. Since moving in with Steven our flat has slowly started to take shape, all that's missing is those often pricey and unessential little extras that pull everything together and make it a home.

It's a bit of a blank canvas at the moment, so I've been spending a lot of time on Pinterest pulling inspiration together (including these imgs!) to try and find my taste and style. (Wee Stevo is happy to go along with most of my choices, phew!)

I've found myself drawn to bohemian-chic interiors with a splash of scandi style. All about the white, exposed brick feel with heavy old wooden furniture and Moroccan-style decorative. AKA: Expensive, and often not the type of bits you find laying around in IKEA.

I was starting to think that getting enough pieces to make our flat homely was going to take forever unless I rinsed out my bank account, until my best friend introduced me to an online shop called Rockett St George. It's basically like a less tacky version of Urban Outfitters homeware  but at a reasonable price. (I saw a small golden plant pot in Urban the other day selling for £30 and nearly vommed all over myself in horror.)

I've pulled together a little wishlist below, and when I get paid I'll start getting some of my favourite pieces.

Where do you shop for homeware?

The Ultimate Hack for Applying Fake Lash Strips

Thursday, 14 April 2016
Guys, it's official. I have found the ultimate cheat method for applying a strip of fake eyelashes so it looks almost invisible and lasts all day. Believe me when I say this is legit. I nearly cried when I discovered it. As someone who has hooded lids (a la J-law), applying strips of lashes was an absolute shitemare. I have shakey hands at the best of times, but with not much lid space to play with it always ended up looking absolutely ridiculous, overly fake and always felt uncomfortable where my hooded lid would meet the strip. Then I discovered this simple, life-changing hack.

OOTD: Wishin' on some sunshine.

Clearly, I could not bare to wait one more day in hopes of warmth to pull the ole' broderie skirt back out. All I could think about was how much I wanted to wear it, so I found a way to make it work with the temperature. (Current reading of "boody hell, that wind is cold!")

OOTD: Australian Lace

Saturday, 2 April 2016

I cannot wait for it to be summer. Winter dressing isn't my forte, I've never nailed stylish layering which has left me with an unfortunate disposition to reach for a very boring and unstylish jeans 'n' jumper combo daily. Summer is my thing. Bohemian broderie, romantic laces, all white errythang, and printed statement pieces to up the game.
