OOTD: I Am A Hat-Owner

I bought a hat! This is a big deal for me, I never put myself in the category of a confident hat-wearer. Hat wearers tend to be one of three things. 1. Painfully edgy and cool. 2. High fashion. 3. Homeless. I mean, I'll admit, I haven't actually worn it out in public yet. But I own one, and it's mine and mine alone. Baby steps.

The hat itself I convinced myself to purchase because of it's transeasonal tangerine colour, and also because it was in the sale. It's a Warehouse buy via ASOS.  And it was so cheap it'd be rude not to, right? I have big plans for this hat. (Aside from this blog post shoot.) I'm thinking dinner and lunches all around Florida when I go on holiday in a few weeks. (Stay tuned, blog diaries likely to follow.)

For this shoot I paired it with a dress from H&M which was last season, sorry. But you can get a similar one here. The cardigan I got in a sample sale and I'll be honest, I don't even know what brand it's from. But any black cardigan will do if you're super eager to recreate this look. (I'm sure you are, I am a Goddess on Earth, after all.*)
*This is a joke.

My little necklace was a gift from my lovely old flatmate, Alice. Its from Brandy Melville, one of my favourite stores although recently a few too many pizzas means I probably don't fit into most of the store anymore. (They do this 'one size fits all' thing which actually translates into 'size 8s and 10s only can shop here.' Necklaces fit everyone though, so it's all good.)

What are your thoughts on hats? Where would you wear this?
