16 things I learnt in 2016

Saturday, 28 January 2017

Okay, so January is nearly over and I finally stopped sulking about the house with the Blues and decided to reflect on 2016 and think about what I learnt. (Turns out not that much - it took forever to write this blog post. Nearly a month, if we're being picky.)

1.Gilmore Girls is a televised masterpiece
2. Olaplex really does work
3. If you ask for discounts at random places like hairdressers they usually take pity on your shameless broke ass and give you one
4. When I don't know what to wear, opting for all-black feels less lazy and more put-together
5. If you leave your hair up for 4 days in a row it becomes one big dreadlock
6. Girls 1000% make better friends than guys - it's not really worth striking up friendships with anyone who has a penis unless you're friends with the girlfriend to avoid dramas
7. It wasn't 'just my body shape'  - it was my body distinctly OUT of shape
8. The more frequently you indulge in wine, the less hangovers you get #winning
9. The more frequently you exercise, the easier it gets (I thought it was an urban myth made up by PTs and insta-motivators)
10. The Made In Chelsea girls all look even smaller in real life
11. Every spot-popping video is the same, once you've seen one, you've seen them all (it's still okay to watch them anyway as a guilty pleasure)
12. If you don't bother flossing it really hurts getting a scale and polish - I am now a seasoned flosser
13. When you talk about your rabbit in public it's better to call it a bunny to avoid sex toy confusion
14. Always insure your iPhone
15. Messaging people drunk is even sadder when you're actually just at home on your own and a bottle of wine down
16.  Demons CAN become President

What did you learn in 2016?
